Carrie and Francois Perrodo and family
Oil, Gas, Wine
London-based Perenco is one of Europe’s leading oil and gas companies, with operations in 13 countries producing 450,000 barrels of oil a day. It is owned by the Perrodo family, led by Carrie, 65, and eldest son François, 40, having been built up by her husband Hubert, who died in an alpine hiking accident in 2006. Carrie, a former model from Singapore, runs her own agency, Carrie’s Models, while Oxford-educated chairman François has a passion for motor sports and is set to race again next month in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Daughter Nathalie Perrodo-Samani manages the family’s wine business, including the highly regarded Château Labégorce. Despite becalmed oil prices, we increase the family’s wealth to £5.176bn in line with the Forbes 2016 valuation.
