Reece, 55, runs Newcastle-based Reece Group, founded by his father Alan, who died in 2012. The industrial operation makes military hardware, road-mending equipment and items for the oil and gas industry. Its products include mine rollers, which allow tanks to survive improvised explosive device attacks. In 2015 the business made a loss of nearly £1m on sales of £54m but is worth its £144.2m net assets. The family has a charitable foundation.
