Dubliner Mullen, 62, and his brothers James, 57, and John, 65, founded shirtmaker Thomas Pink in 1984 and sold it to French company LVMH for £49m. In 2006 Mullen helped rescue the Hunter wellington boot operation, whose 2011 sale netted him £20m and he retains a £40m stake. His latest investments include Idle Man, a London-based menswear retailer, and the waste-to-energy group Envirofusion.
