Alan and Ronnie Bartlett
The Bartlett brothers are the third generation of the family rooted in their 67-year-old vegetable empire. Alan, 61, runs Alan Bartlett and Sons (Chatteris) and another operation, producing carrots and parsnips in Cambridge, which had combined net assets of £22.5m in 2014-15. Ronnie, 53, controls Airdrie-based potato grower Bartlett International Holdings, which made £5.5m profit and showed £54.7m assets in 2015-16. We value the businesses at £100m, adding £10m for other interests.
