Stefan Sten Olsson
Olsson, 68, may well be the world's richest man of the cloth. A Catholic priest, the London-based Swede has a 24.5% stake in the Stena Sphere shipping operation, founded by his late father Sten Allan Olsson and run by his older brother Dan, and oversees some of the family's investments. The business employs about 20,000 staff, has a fleet of more than 180 ships and owns almost 27,000 flats and premises. It showed record profits of £511m in 2016 – a rise of nearly 50% on the year before – while the sale of pharmaceuticals company Meda also produced a £1.1bn windfall for the company. Its shares have had a strong run over the past year and Swedish business magazine Veckans Affarer puts Olsson's wealth at £1.92bn in its 2016 rich list.
